Inspiration #2

IMG_20140816_110301I… LOVE… TO… ORGANIZE!  I’ve heard it all.   “I can’t do that”,  “You’re crazy”, “I don’t know how you do what you do!”, “Oh Mom!”  Well there must be something in the ‘spatial’ brain God gave me that makes that so.  I love rearranging furniture, charts and graphs,  jigsaw puzzles, containers and files. I organize staff at work, birthday parties, anything to do with planning and organizing. It’s not weird, just who I am.  So imagine my delight when HGTV and the Container Store came along. “Heaven…I’m in heaven…”(Yes there’s the songster in me-get used to it)

How I keep my staff organized in my office a work.

My style has always been simple, clean, classic and of course symmetrical.  I guess some of that comes from my Mother too.  She always told me, “There’s a place for everything and everything in its place.”  Back in the early 90’s, when I got married-Country was in style.  Yep, I had it too.  Cows and chickens galore.  Why? I don’t know.  Since those days, my style has evolved into a modern day simple but beautiful Farmhouse look.  Hence my next inspiration.  Any one ever heard of “Fixer Upper” on HGTV?  I love Chip and Joanna.  I love who they are, how they treat each other on the show, their family and home and of course Joanna’s flare for Farmhouse style.  Right up my alley.  Clean, bright, simple but beautiful and practical.

After having watched every episode of “Fixer Upper”(I think) and perused Chip and Joanna’s website so much for inspiration, I thought maybe my blogs might inspire other’s too. Look out for some inspirational blogs from my spatial brain soon!
