A Sticky Wicket

Laundry Tip #1-

At Christmas this past year, my son received a pair of Khaki pants that we found at a really good price of $20.  So good and practical since he wears khaki everyday. So we bought him a couple more.  However, the first pair, laden with sticker tags all down the leg of the pants,  were unwearable (is that a word?) due to the fact that the stickum (my made up word) from those stickers remained adhered to the pants.

So, after one failed attempt to remove it, last night I decided to try again.  Google is such a wonderful tool….I just typed in….”How to remove stickers from fabric”.  Guess what?  A list of 6 different ways.  Wow!  So I went with the following:

Steam the sticker then use a knife or small brush like a toothbrush to remove.

I used my iron to steam the sticker because it has a steam button on it.  You could use a tea kettle also.  I tried the knife but found that the toothbrush worked best on this particular sticker to scrape the gooey gum from the pants.

Worked like a charm!  Apparently, I rock too!  Or as I say with my kiddos at school…..Give yourself a pep talk-“I did it, I did it, I really, really did it!” (They say this while looking down their shirt.  OK.   I know what you are thinking…but they are preschoolers)

Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.  Would love to hear from you!
